Toronto

My first trip to Canada and Toronto was a great introduction. An incredibly lively and active city, with something happening on every corner.

Arriving late on a Saturday and staying just around the corner from Yonge-Dundas Square a heavy metal concert was in full flow. Sunday made way for street food and Mexican bands.

Monday morning saw Tony Hawks roll up with a huge half-pipe. SpadinaKensington Market and Graffiti Alley are definitely areas worth visiting if you have time to wander.

Duluth

A glorious week in May 2016 spent at the University of Minnesota, in Duluth.

Staying across the river in Superior in Wisconsin meant stating each day with a stunning drive over the Blatnik Bridge. Then up into the hills to the UMD campus.

If you aren’t put off driving into deserted industrial estates late at night, then you’ll find some great ribs & bbq at Izzys BBQ & Lounge

Stephenville

The self-proclaimed “Cowboy Capital of the World”

Ann Arbor

I’ve been lucky enough to visit Ann Arbor on a couple of occasions as my work have a couple of customers based here.

Really lively downtown area when the sun goes down with a good number of bars and restaurants.

Would recommend checking out Frita Batidos for lunch and/or dinner.
